Supreme Court Rules In Favor of Equality

thToday is an AMAZING day not only for the U.S., but especially for the state of California! SCOTUS has declared that DOMA is unconstitutional, and that the proponents of Prop 8 had no standing to challenge the District Court’s decision.

The DOMA ruling means – residents in states that currently recognize same sex marriage can now receive federal benefits.

The Prop. 8 ruling means – same sex marriage will be legal in the state of California.

This is a HUGE victory, and a truly life changing event for many many people!! Help commemorate the day by finding a local celebration. Vallejo and Fairfield both have events this evening around 6:30PM. The Fairfield Event will be at the Government Center in Fairfield.

We were honored to have Mr. Cheslog speak to the group and give us his vision on the future of the Party in our area.
